Memories of "Made in Italy"

About his collaboration with his father in the film " Made in Italy" Micheál Richardson said:" I took care of getting the role of Jack myself and didn't ask my father for help. I audititioned for the role out of consideration for my own dignity. I didn't just want to get the part because because Liam Neeson is my father. "
"Oh, you audititioned "?, Liam asked his son Micheál and added, " I didn't know that!"
When He asked how the two appraoched the film's theme, Liam replied:" Micheál and I were able to understand the story very well. I felt this tingling in my stomach when I read the script. We had a wonderful crew who looked of us very well and gave us the confidence to open up about our roles . It was qatari, as art can sometimes be. There were some very delicate scenes. I could easily access the emotions and didn't need days to prepare for my role- and I - I think it was the same with Micheál. We had a very sensitive producer and a wonderful and supportive team. We felt at ease during the shoot."
When asked, if he and his father had talked about whether they would mind acting out their emotion in public, Micheál replied  " Yes we talked about it beforehand."
For me, Made in Italy is not only a film that makes for a cozy movie evening, but also a film that makes you think. For me, Made in Italy has the message that you can hold on to memories, to your love for a certain person. Who is suddenly no longer there, and yet will live on forever in the heart.  For me, Made in Italy means letting go and holding on at the same time. Continue where you were and start again. A film to think about.  Liam and Micheál play two characters that you take close to your heart.

How I Became a Liam Neeson Fan!

I have been a Steven Spielberg fan since the 1970s. Almost from the very first hour, and I eagerly awaited all of his films.  When Steven Spielberg first talked about making a film about Oskar Schindler around 1990, I was thrilled. Because I had learned a lot about this remarkable person at school.  When the name Liam Neeson was mentioned my first reaction was 'Liam who?'  I had never heard of this, what was the name, Liam Neeson... and believe me, it was the early 1990s. A completely different decade... No, a completely different century. No internet where you could quickly look up who this certain Liam Neeson is! You had to wait until some specialist magazine for the cinema world appeared. No matter whether printed in German or English.  This is how the information was obtained at the time!  When the film "Schindler's List" finally came out in 1994, I went to the cinema three times in one week.   I discovered a wonderful interview from 1994 that was conducted with Liam and Natasha during the filming of "Rob Roy" a while ago. I think I even mentioned it here...  The interview also featured some of Liam's associates, with whom he has professional and personal contact.
