The difference between theather and cinema

In a 2009 interview with the German daily newspaper FR,  Liam was asked:
"From time to time you take a break from film and play theater. For example, under the director of David Hare, who is very the important in British theater. Why do you constantly move back and forth between film and theater?"
Liam answered the question:" 
"If you want big moving roles,  you have to be a theater player.  In movies there are a lot of technical aids and on stage you're on your own. When you perform a play, everything has to work. There is no repetition, no editing,  like in the studio. If the actor is confident,  if the play is good , the audience is happy. "
In April 1998, Liam took on the lead role of Oscar Wilde in the play "The Judas Kiss ", written by David Hare. In addition to Liam, Tom Hollander and Peter Capaldi also appeared in the play. 
Plot:
Oscar Wilde's spoiled and impetuous young lover Bosie ( played by Tom Hollander) has succeeded in instigating Wilde to sue Bosie's father in court for insulting him as a 'sodomite' . The loss of the suit opens the way for Wilde being criminally indicted for gross indecency. Wilde has tacit government, but the childish Bosie insists that he stay and defend their honour.
It's a shame that Liam doesn't act in the theater anymore. Unfortunately, he retired a few years ago. But he still enjoys going to Broadway theater as a spectator.  I would love to see Liam on stage one day. I wish I had seen him and Natasha in the play "Anna Christie". The play in which the two fell in love. A fan who followed my Liam Neeson fan page on Facebook once wrote to me that she had seen Liam and Natasha in the play and she could tell that there was a lot of chemistry between the both. These are the stories that I am grateful for. The little experiences that fans were able to experience and share with me.

Memory was the first film that I featured on my Liam Neeson fan page. I don't even know how many times I've seen the film. Definitely not as often as "The Marksman" . When Natasha was asked:" What was it like to see your mother, Vanessa Redgrave, on stage or screen when you were growing up?" Natasha answered:" Well, I didn't see her much on stage, because at that period of her life I don't think she was on stage much. I think it had a profound effect on me. I took it very real, but not only because she's such a great actress, but, you know, when I'd see her as "Isadora" ,you know, died at the end, I'd get doubly upset.  And my mother would say,' no, it's okay, I'm here. ' And I'd say, ' Well,I know you're here, but it's a true story  ,and that really happened and it's upsetting me,.' But I just love, you know, I just loved watching her movies.
