A scandal and a wonderful friendship

In 1997, Liam gave an interview to journalist Charlie Rose at the premiere of his film " Michael Collins " .  The two talked for an hour about Liam's Karriere , in detail about the person Michael Collins, who is one of Liam's role models, and about Neil Jordan's film about Michael Collins, in which Liam plays the leading role and about the film that took Liam's career in a different direction, "Schindler's List." The two also talked about Liam's time on Broadway. 
I'll recount the interview step by step, not in chronological order, but as I present and narrate it for fans on my Liam Neeson fan page on Instagram. Here, everything is more detailed, though not perfect, and with additional information.
While Liam was giving the interview to Charlie Rose in 1997, they both talked obout the collaboration between Liam and Woody Allen. 
Rose said to Liam,  while listing the movies Liam had up to that point,  "You like your movies?"
And Liam replied, " Yes I like them all!"
Arriving at the Woody Allen movie,  Rose said "... and "Husbands and Wives" . I know you that one."
Liam Jones," No , I hate that film. "
Rose," ...no You joke. " That what you played was a romantic spoken Irish man, who was a magazine editor, who entangled with Judy Davies and Mia Farrow at the Woody Allen film. What is so special about a Woody Allen movie that all the actors want to be in it?"
Liam laughs ," He pays increadible amounts. No it's a joke."
"He starts at 10 in the morning and finishes at four in the afternoon. Five days a week. That is, that is working with with Woody Allen. You know, Allen is a wonderful writer. I'm one of the few actors to have actually read the script of " Husbands and Wives " ." 
Rose asked him ," What do you mean by that you're one of the few?"
Liam answered the question," He sends out the scenes that the actors are in. He doesn't like to send out his scripts,  not even through an agency. He just,  he is very protective of his materiality. "
"I was doing a film in Cairo,  in Egypt ( for your information: Liam was filming Ruby Cairo at that time) and I got the script via FedEx. There was a message from Woody Allen himself inside the parcel,  saying 'Please send this back the second you finished reading it ', you know. So I started reading it , blushed and thought of mother, and at the next moment I thought to myself ' Hello my goodness , yes this is great. This is a fantastic  script'. I swear to God,  It was the most wonderful script I had ever read. And it made me realize how what a writer Allen is"
"You know,  when authors are sweating over whether to put a comma here,  I put a semicolon there. That's how I read a screenplay."
"When I arrived on set I heard Woody say  'If these words don't fit in your mouth,  just change them '. I thought he mean one of the writers, but he meant me. Allen said to me ' If the words don't fit,  , just change them. Say something that comes to mind , just do it. Make a joke. Jokes make it better '.
During the filming of "Husbands and Wives" a major scandal arose that led to the separation of Woody Allen and Mia Farrow. 
In a later interview, Liam told how work suddenly changed for him on set: 
"I was shooting a sex scene with Judy Davies. Or rather, we were going to shoot the scene. Everyone was on set: Judy, me, and the film crew. Only Woody was missing. So we waited for the moment to finally begin. After 20 minutes, Woody finally came into the room, with a straight face, and simply said, "Okay, Liam, you know what you have to do, and I need more light." 
"After I heard about the scandal during the shooting of the movie, I was uncomfortable shooting with Mia (Farrow) . But I had a few reshoot with Mia and we got to know each other well during that. We become friends. "
A few months later, when we had finished filming, I visited Natasha in Ireland,  where she was shooting a movie with Mia ( Widows' Peak). The three of us spent a lot of time together there together and had a really good friendship."
"I was sitting in a pub with Mia one evening and we had few Guinesses together. We were talking about Natasha and me and I said to Mia that I was very much in love with Natasha and I really wanted to marry her. When Mia heard this she gave me a lecture of the wisdom of love,. She said to me ' Liam,  there are certain pillars of love. There are pillars that you should stick to and never stray from. It's a beautiful thing when you love someone and get that love back. To love someone means to respect them and to go through thick and thin with them'. Her words were fantastic and moved me a lot."

I have been a Steven Spielberg fan since the 1970s. Almost from the very first hour, and I eagerly awaited all of his films.  When Steven Spielberg first talked about making a film about Oskar Schindler around 1990, I was thrilled. Because I had learned a lot about this remarkable person at school.  When the name Liam Neeson was mentioned my first reaction was 'Liam who?'  I had never heard of this, what was the name, Liam Neeson... and believe me, it was the early 1990s. A completely different decade... No, a completely different century. No internet where you could quickly look up who this certain Liam Neeson is! You had to wait until some specialist magazine for the cinema world appeared. No matter whether printed in German or English.  This is how the information was obtained at the time!  When the film "Schindler's List" finally came out in 1994, I went to the cinema three times in one week.   I discovered a wonderful interview from 1994 that was conducted with Liam and Natasha during the filming of "Rob Roy" a while ago. I think I even mentioned it here...  The interview also featured some of Liam's associates, with whom he has professional and personal contact. Among those who spoke were directors Steven Spielberg and Michael Apted, a personal collaborator of Liam and a good friend who has been with Liam for over 40 years.  Steven Spielberg said about Liam, " When Liam plays a role he stops being Liam Neeson.
