Greetings to heaven

Today marks 17 years since Natasha left us. Sadly, I never got to see her on stage. But the people I spoke to about Natasha told me she was a wonderful stage actress.

I would have loved to see Natasha and Liam in "Anna Christie." But New York and Broadway aren't exactly around the corner.

I still want to send a loving greeting to heaven and a heartfelt hug, "Natasha, we miss you."

On the anniversary of her death, I posted a short excerpt from an interview Natasha and Liam gave to People magazine in 1994:

"I never really thought about marriage or family or anything like that," Liam said in an interview he gave with Natasha shortly after their wedding. "I always thought I'd better off doing things my own way. Until now, until I met Natasha."

Years later, Liam spoke with Anderson Cooper on *60 Minutes* about the hours before Natasha's death:

"We were talking on the phone in the afternoon and she said to me, 'Oh, darling, I slipped in the snow'... that's how she described the accident to me."

"Hours later, I got a call telling me that my wife's condition had worsened and that I should come to Quebec as soon as possible to be with her. My flight was then diverted to Montreal, and they She took me straight to the hospital. Before I could see Natasha, I received the terrible news.

"A doctor showed me the X-rays of Natasha's head, of the spot where the epidural hematoma was, and when I saw her again, she was unfortunately already brain dead and on life support."

"I took her hand and said to her, 'Honey, you're going on a journey you won't return from. You hit your head. It's... I don't know if you can hear me, but it's happened.'

"We're taking you back to New York now. Your family and friends will come and be with you."
