Liam's first film roles

Some time ago, I started a series about Liam on Facebook and Instagram. I called the series "One Photo, One Story," and I regularly posted a photo accompanied by a short story. I've now told over 260 stories about Liam's career.

I'll be publishing these stories here, starting today with the first two.

Each installment will feature a photo and begin with the series title, followed by the installment number, the (original) date, and the title of the current story...
I'll start with Liam's first film roles from 1978 and 1979:
Liam made his film debut in the 1978 adaptation of The Pilgrims Progress, directed by Ken Anderson. In this low-budget film, shot in Ireland, Liam took on several roles. Due to the production's very limited budget, in the first part, the 1678 adaptation of John Bunyan's Ronan, Liam portrayed, among others, the Evangelist and Jesus Christ in various scenes to support the protagonist, Christian.

In "Christiana," the 1979 sequel, Liam played the role of "Greatheart."

The Pilgrims Progress 
In 1978, Liam played his first leading role in the BBC production "The Pilgrims Progress". The story of this is:
A man named Christian, who is anxious and ashamed of his sin and he burdens on his back. 
He must make a journey to the celestrial City (Heaven) to find redemption. 
The film is an adaptation of the same-named novel from 1678, and Liam played the characters "Evangelist" and "Jesus Christ" in this film.

Christiana
Liam's second film, "Christiana," is from 1979.

The film is about Christiana, whose husband left his family, who admit scorn and ridicule. She now regrets her sins. Rewarded with shining faith, she manages to lead her children and her neighbor Mercy to salvation in celestial City (heaven) with the help of the brave Greatheart (Liam).

The photos show the DVD covers of the films, and the top photo shows Liam in the first film.

Liam spoke a few years ago on the Stephen Colbert Late Night Show about the two films, which were an important milestone in his career, and that "The Pilgrim's Progress" and "Christiana" are still shown in Africa, in Christian community centers and schools.

The films are available on YouTube, among other platforms.
