Across the Bridge of Hope


The photo shows Liam in 1998 in a recording studio, where he recorded the charity and peace album "Across the Bridge of Hope " alongside numerous other Irish artists. For the album, Liam recorded the peace poem of the same name, which was written by 12-year-old Sean McLaughlin. As well an excerpt from an poem by Séamus Heaney. 
The album was recorded to benefit the victims of the Omagh bomber in Northern Ireland on August 15.1998,  in which 29 people were killed and over 300 were injured. Sean was among the 29 who died. 
At the time, Liam and Natasha donated £50.000 to the victims of the attack. The money was the amount that the Mirror publisher MGN had to pay the couple after losing a defamation lawsuit in which it had claimed that their marriage was in crisis and that Natasha had filed for divorce behind Liam's back. Which was definitely not true

Orange and green 
Orange and green it does not matter. 
Orange and green, united now 
Don't shatter our dream 
Scatter the seeds of peace over our land!
So we can travel hand in hand across the bridge of hope.

Happy Birthday to Heaven

If you'd like to know what a person plagued by bad luck looks like, I cordially invite you to join me for a coffee or tea. This post was originally finished and ready to go online before midnight. The emphasis is on "originally," because if I hadn't accidentally pressed the wrong key and deleted everything, I wouldn't have to start all over again. Two hours of work wasted. We're not all professionals, after all... Anyway... Today (May 11th) is Natasha's birthday. She would have turned 63 this year. Natasha was born on May 11, 1963, the first daughter of actress Vanessa Redgrave and director Tony Richardson. Her acting talent was practically in her blood, as her maternal grandparents were also famous actors. Vanessa Redgrave's parents were actor Michael Redgrave and her mother, Rachel Kempson. Natasha's aunt Lynn Redgrave, as well as her younger sister Joely Richardson and Joely's daughter Daisy Bevan, also pursued acting...

When Liam became a serial killer (please don't take it too seriously)

 After a break of almost three months,  which I only interrupt once or twice,  I continued yesterday my little series about Liam on Instagram.  Over the past few weeks, I've been working intensively on an interview Liam gave in 1997 at the premiere of "Michael Collins" . The interview lasts about an hour and I've listened to it almost daily.  I still listen to this interview regularly because I still discover beautiful and interesting things that Liam talks about in it. The beginning, where he talks about Michael Collins, is particularly interesting, and you can see how much Liam cares about his role model.  It was and it is primarily to improve my listening comprehension of the English language and to convey the little stories Liam tells in the interview as accurately as possible. It's a very nice and interesting interview. I will not reproduce the interview in It's normal order,  but only in the passages that I wrote down when...
