St Patrick's College

In 2009 , St Patrick's College in Ballymena celebrated its fiftieth anniversary. 
Liam attended the school from 1963 to 1967. In 2009 Liam took some time out during the filming of his movie " The A-Team" to record a five-minute greeting message on DVD for his old school. In his video message, Liam spoke warmly about his memories of his old school, certain teachers who taught him and former classmates who attended the school at the same time. Liam also spoke in his message about his love of theater and acting and how this passion began at St Patrick's College. He also remembered the All Saints Boxing Club, which he attended at the same time in his home town. 
Cole Magee, who was principal of St Patrick's in 2009 ,said, "It was Mr Neeson's own idea to film the message and send it to the school. Unfortunately, he is unable to attend the festivities, but wanted to take part in the celebration in this way. " Ms Magee continued, " Everyone associated with the school was touched and proud that Liam Neeson, despite his busy filming schedule, took the time to record the message. I think that shows what kind of person Mr Neeson is. He may be a world-famous star, but he has never lost touch with his roots."
In the interview, Cate Magee mentioned that Liam's relatives still live in Ballymena and took part in the school festivities on his behalf. 
In 2004, when St Patrick's College celebrated its forty-fifth anniversary, Liam sent a message of greeting via fax.  
When I read Mrs Magee's words, 'I think that shows what kind of person Mr Neeson is and that he has never forgotten where his roots are', I found myself nodding my head and saying to myself, 'yes, that's how I imagine this man. That's how I've always thought of Liam. This man has remained so down to earth throughout all the years of his career. 
The photo shows Liam in 1966 at the age of 14 when he was a member of the St Patrick's College Hurling team. Hurling is an Irish folk sport that has its roots in Celtic times .

I have been a Steven Spielberg fan since the 1970s. You had to wait until some specialist magazine for the cinema world appeared. When Natasha was asked:" What was it like to see your mother, Vanessa Redgrave, on stage or screen when you were growing up?" Natasha answered:" Well, I didn't see her much on stage, because at that period of her life I don't think she was on stage much. I think it had a profound effect on me. I took it very real, but not only because she's such a great actress, but, you know, when I'd see her as "Isadora" ,you know, died at the end, I'd get doubly upset.  And my mother would say,' no, it's okay, I'm here. Memory was the first film that I featured on my Liam Neeson fan page. I don't even know how many times I've seen the film. Definitely not as often as "The Marksman" .
